This Porsche 996 Turbo, commonly known by its fans as 'Turbinchen', is a custom racecar built by Alzen Motorsport solely for the VLN championship at the Nuerburgring Nordschleife.
Constantly being developed during its time of operation (2003 to 2005) this car combined a 911 GT1 derived 3.6 twinturbo engine, a GT1 inspired race body kit from DP Motorsports, state of the art aerodynamics and finally a custom 911 Turbo derived AWD system for the 2005 season.
Beating even factory DTM teams from Opel and Audi by 10 seconds around the 'Ring during qualification, only its equally as monstrous fuel consumption and reliability issues prevented this car from ever outright winning the 24h race.
This 2005 version offers less power, but better means of bringing it to the ground. Rear biased AWD through custom Drexler differentials, optimized aero of the DP Motorsport body shell and Bosch Motorsport traction control.
