The Corvette Daytona Prototype, which was launched in 2011 to compete in GRAND-AM's Daytona Prototype category. The body was designed at the same time as the Coyote chassis, but is also able to use the Riley and Dallara chassis.
With a tight timeline, Chevrolet collaborated with GRAND-AM and Pratt & Miller design to design and complete the car in under 8 months, prepared for the 2012 season.
In 2014, the Daytona Prototype category ceased to exist, and was absorbed by the new Tudor United Sportscar Championship's Prototype class. This is the 2014 car, balanced to perform against the former ACO-spec LMP2 cars.
This is the high-downforce model, required by the regulations for use at all tracks with the exception of Daytona.
